Around the World of Wool
Today's blend is La Ribote, inspired by the traditions of Martinque, and is a beautiful soft blue shade of bamboo, Gotland, and mulberry silk. I've not had the directional problem in some time (some blends/fibres require a certain direction to be spun in; I was having difficulty drafting from one end, but it was smooth sailing from the other) but this was certainly a challenge until I flipped it to draft the other way. This wanted to be spun fine, and I got 119 yards out of this. I'm thinking this is going to be a little Tunisian crochet cowl.
Twinings
I really wish I could smell this, but it's Pause, a blend of raspberry, blackberry, and hibiscus. If you've stopped wearing a mask, here is your reminder to start wearing it again. Some of us are still isolating as we did in spring of 2020, so please keep wearing a mask. Be smart about your choices, and minimise the risks.
