Mild moment of panic - next week my blog post will be a reaction to Senate of Blood and all of your comments on it. That scares me.
Quick update on the Unofficial Blog post - I'm still confused as to what I'm doing and why. I have, however, found a way of working it out, so keep reading for that.
We have a lovely new admin on the Facebook page which now means we have four admins. We each have a different role, but I still read every single comment, message, and wall posts myself; you will still be talking to me when you get in touch with the page, but it just means you might get replies from the other three as well.
We will be doing a weekly recommendation, which I have creatively called the Thursday Evening Admin Recommendation. Basically, we are taking it in turns to recommend something, whether it is a book or a film, or just something that we like. Because we are all so different, you will get a huge variety of things.
This leads nicely into how I'm going to fix my life.
That sounded a lot more dramatic than I intended.
Basically, I'm going to have a new routine. From the start of December, I'm going to set aside time each day to read, do university work, craft, write projects for publication, write things I want to write for fun, and all the other things I like doing like watching DVDs and Netflix. Hopefully, by the end of the year I will find a balance between fun and work; work is fun for me, but I sometimes lose sight of that.
I have a huge amount of books to get through. Once university is done {countdown for it is here if you want to join me} I will be doing a weekly book review as well as the weekly blog. I will have a lot more time on my hands without assignment deadlines looming over me, and I need to find a way now of spending my time so I don't crash into a spiral of depression when university is over. I do have plans on doing a masters and a PhD, but I need some time to work on things for you.
With any luck, the books I will be reading just before I sleep starting in about an hour from now {yes I am fully aware it is 2.40am} I will then be reviewing in the summer. I'm only reading a chapter or two each night, because I read ridiculously fast, and I want to have my books last longer. I love reading, but when you can read War and Peace in less than three hours, you know something is wrong.
I hope everyone is doing well, and I'm going to go read the first chapter of Game of Thrones despite not actually liking most modern literature. This could be interesting...
See you next week!
E
Edit: I couldn't get Game of Thrones on my eReader, so I read the Wildfire Steampunk Megapack instead. I got through the first two short stories in it and it was brilliant.
