World of Wool: Day Three
Wreath is a cute blend of red and green Shetland wool. I spin quite thin so I'm a little worried it might get muddy when I spin it, but that's fine. It's a pretty blend, very festive. I wonder if this means there'll be more Shetland blends next year, that'd be great. Shetland is fantastic for sweater spins, as it's durable but still quite soft.
Galaxy/Black
This was my first ever sweater spin, and both fibres I got from Etsy. The first is a galaxy fibre from Wonderful Wool. This fibre is fairly similar in colour to the one I bought, but mine was vibrant. The black was this beautiful blend from Velvet Sixpence. I spun them individually, then plied them together with a strand of Rexor from Yeoman Yarns in black for a hint of sparkle. It is beautiful, and I have still not crocheted it. It's been sitting in my project basket since the spring. It's gorgeous, I want to work on it, but I keep getting distracted by basically anything that comes near. Maybe next year.
How is your December going so far?
