The first finish
I finished the leg warmers! These are so cosy, they cover my ankles so well (my ankles get much colder than the rest of me, I've never known why). They're finished! I have worn them so much already, and I am so happy.
The second finish
I told you no one would be expecting this finish. I finished being 32. I turned 33 this week. No one is as shocked as I am in how long I have survived. My physical health is the worst it has ever been, and that will continue to get worse. I am eight years past my expected shelf life, but I'm still going. I'm still surviving.
The third finish
I finished a book! While in past years I have easily read over a hundred books in a year, this is my third book this year so far. I have returned to Serial Reader yet again, and I have read Agatha Christie's The Mysterious Affair at Styles and I loved it. While there are parts that are very much of their time, there is a charm to the simplicity of her writing. Also Hercule Poirot is autistic, and no one can convince me otherwise.
Progress
The eagle-eyed may have noticed the blanket in the background of my leg warmers. I am still working on the Cupcake blanket. Blankets are slow projects, even if it is a very simple stitch. At almost 300 stitches per row, two rows per colour, and so far 51 colours, that is a lot of stitches...
The new start
... So I started a new blanket as well. This is a deep stash dive, to the point where I'm not sure where I even got the yarn pack. It might have been Deramores, and that shut down years ago. I'm using Stylecraft Special, the same yarn as the Cupcake blanket, but in 25 colours. It's been a while since I've done a Tunisian crochet blanket, so I'm doing a log cabin ish Tunisian blanket. I'm hoping for 25 squares total, each one having every colour, but it is a very slow project. I love it.
That's everything for this week, and I am definitely not expecting to have the blankets finished by next time.
