As much as I love to watch Netflix and relax, the subtext of "Netflix and chill" doesn't entirely appeal to me. I much prefer to Netflix and crochet.
Whenever I feel like something that needs to be flushed down the toilet, I turn to Community. It includes everything I wanted out of university but never got: paintball assassin, destroying a study room to find a pen stolen by a monkey called Annie's Boobs, interesting relationships, and the most amazing Halloween experiences ever.
Granted, for me university was... well in all honesty, it was none of that. But Community allows that world to exist. I've seen seasons 1-5 so many times, I can (and do) quote from the show. The Winger speeches are brilliant, and are a great way for me to feel better instead of drowning in depression.
Community is a wonderful show, but it is also easy watching. There are background moments I may have missed the first few times I've watched it (Abed helping a pregnant woman, Beetlejuice walking past the third time his name is mentioned) but it is easy enough to crochet while watching.
I thoroughly recommend watching the show; it is just wonderful.
This is the first review post, but every Friday I'll be posting a review about something I've been enjoying that week. I've been working on a winter blanket while watching Netflix, so this seemed the obvious start.
See you on Tuesday for December favourites!
