I'm not linked to World of Wool in any way, I just really got into spinning this year, and I want to share my love of the advent calendar.
Day Six: Three Gifts; 25% Cashmere, 25% Peduncle Silk, 50% Blue Faced Leicester
This is a beautiful blend, and I cannot put into words just how soft this is. BFL is a gorgeous wool, perfect for so many projects because of the softness and strength. Combined with the silk and cashmere, this becomes even more beautiful. Cashmere is from goats, and the process of dehairing is a highly skilled and time intensive job. Peduncle silk is a stunning fibre, with more bulk than mulberry silk. This is just perfectly beautiful. I think this needs to be a next-to-skin project, most likely a shawl because that's who I am as a person.
What would you make out of this?
