The Universe has been a thing for longer than we can comprehend, and all of that time has passed and brought us here. We are alive right now and so many things could have prevented that from happening. If an ancestor didn't mean their lover at a very specific time, the world would be so different. Imagine if life had never even been formed.
Yet here we are.
There are more galaxies with more stars and more planets than we can dream about; here we are on our little fleck of dust, worrying about grades, work, family, when there are areas of the Universe we know absolutely nothing about.
Yet here we are.
One single word said correctly can change everything. A simple "This is great!" can turn a usually composed person into a puddle of inhuman noises, hiding under a blanket, without the ability to stop grinning. This is how I have spent the last forty minutes, and it does not seem to want to end.
At the same time, saying something negative can have the same sort of impact, and lead to tears or worse.
We are all alive right now. We all know there is injustice, cruelty, hatred, and all that jazz; we know there is, because we witness it or we are victims of it. Maybe, just once, we could look around as a species and say "We are here, and there is so much out there that we cannot imagine. Why should our tiny problems get in the way of all the beauty that we are only just able to see?"
Say something nice to someone today. Whether it is complimenting someone on the bus, or telling an author how much you love what they write, or telling a friend how much you love them, it could be the difference between someone spending the night crying, or spending the night thinking they are worth another dawn.
This is what makes life so incredible; literally anything is possible, and with infinite universes, literally everything is possible and has probably happened already. Giving up is one possible thing, but then that would stop infinite amounts of other things happening. Not only can you never know what will happen, there are so many possibilities that sometimes, just sometimes, the good ones have to happen to you.
Look at what is in front of you. The screen you are reading this on has been made by other humans with hopes, dreams, fears, and thoughts. It was designed by other humans. I'm a human with my own thoughts, hopes, dreams, fears, and emotions, and at some point in your past I have typed this up for you to read right now. I'm typing this in my present, but look how it has almost travelled in time to reach you. You are in my future. Hello. How's the weather? Would you like a cup of tea?
