When it hit 30 readers, I was shocked. To then find that people had been paying for it, despite it being free, was indescribable. Then someone paid $5.03, and then $8.50... I had no idea that would ever happen.
I'm currently at 41 readers.
I barely value my writing; I have my babies, like Daughter of Death and Cherry but that's all. I don't even like some of the poems in the collection!
As promised, I am in the process of adding more poems to it. If you have signed up to get email updates, you will be told there is an update an entire day before anyone else finds out . Yes that means I'll refrain myself from posting about it on Facebook and Twitter.
Looking at my poems again, I'm seeing them in a new light. I'm seeing them through the eyes of you. All of you who have said how much you loved Rose on Fire either as a whole collection, or you had your favourites, you have literally changed the way I look at my own poems.
I want you to decide what sort of poems I should include. I've split them up into genres in my notes, so what I post in the update will be decided by you. You will be in charge of what poems appear in my poetry collection.
They are all old poems, mostly from when I was a teenager, but as are most of the poems in the collection anyway. I'll write a few new pieces as well, so not only do you decide what poems I'll include, you will also decide what I write. My poetry collection is entirely in your hands.
I'll see you next week!
