Firstly I got two books from the brains behind NaNoWriMo. No Plot? No Problem! is a way of getting through NaNo without losing the plot, either literally or metaphorically. Ready, Set, Novel! is more of a workbook, where you complete activities. I've flipped through both books and they look awesome. I'm going to give Camp NaNo a try (going to have a small word count target as preparation for NaNo) again, and I'm hoping these two books will help with that. I'll keep you updated.
The next book is Finish This Book and I love it! I want to finish my Wreck this Journal and the Do Not Open This Box set first, but Finish This Book sounds like a lot of fun. I want to try to get out of my comfort zone in very small ways, and the books by Keri Smith help with that.
I enjoy books like these because I can use them how I need to; I can do a page of Wreck this Journal or I could do three pages; I could do a single activity from Ready, Set, Novel! or maybe a whole chapter. I can use the books to relax, to get out of my comfort zone, or just to try something new. I'm hoping they might also provide me with the metaphorical kick up the bottom I need to work on the eBooks I have to finish.
Let me know if you want to see updates of what pages I do, or if there are any books like the ones by Keri Smith that you can recommend.
See you next Tuesday!
