I've recently done quite a bit of makeup shopping, and I wanted to share that with you because I'm really happy with how I look. You have no idea how rarely that happens. As I usually do with my posts, any time I mention a product I will include a link to where I personally bought the thing from; I'm sure you can buy these things in other places too.
The polishes I'm wearing in the picture above are Dangerous Affair and Black Sakura. I love my Louboutin Bianca shoes (posted about those in a previous blog) and I love how the black underpainting comes through in a very subtle way, but it is still there. The red polish is gorgeous. I've been wearing it for a little over a week and it is only just starting to chip at the very tips so I'm pretty happy about that.
Firstly a quick note about my hair. I'm growing it long before I re-dye it; I'm very aware my blonde roots are showing through the black. Onwards to the makeup...
My foundation is a mixture of Lush's Jackie Oates and By Terry's Rosy Beige Sheer Cover, as I've said in a previous post. On my lids and winged out I used Becca eye tint in Pewter which I can't seem to find now. I love this cream eye shadow because it lasts. On top I've used a little brown eye shadow that matches the cream, but for the life of me I cannot remember the brand; I've had it a while.
I've used two eye pencils, sort of, in a way. I was lucky enough to receive the Urban Decay Black Magic set for Christmas. I used Demolition on the waterline, and Zero to create a thin line along my upper lashes and slightly winged it out. I didn't use mascara because I couldn't find it. I really need to sort out my collection.
On my cheeks I used Naked Flush in Native and a touch of Too Faced Sweetheart Beads to add a little more coverage. For my lips I used three products. Firstly I lined my lips with the Urban Decay clear lip pencil, then used Crush, both from their Full Frontal lip set (again, can't find it on the sites I usually use). On top of that I used Lipstick Queen's Liquid Lipstick in Red. I used the smallest amount I could just for the extra touch of red because I find Crush a little too coral for me; that said I adore Crush and it is definitely one of my favourite lipsticks.
Just a quick side note - Sudocrem is brilliant on eczema. I started to develop a little on my wrist, and the cream instantly helped with itching. That is why you can see it in the background of my picture.
I hope you didn't mind me posting this, but I felt it necessary to share what has been making me happy.
See you next Tuesday!
