Last night I went to the first ever London live show of Welcome to Night Vale. It was incredible. I have been a fan of WTNV since discovering it on on Tumblr, and I fell in love with the characters and the Night Vale world.
The cosplays were amazing - from floating Khoshekhs to an actual glow cloud (all hail), from several Kevins, Carloses, and Cecils, to interns and dark hooded figures - although I did have to explain who are few of them were to my mother, who has only heard the first five episodes.
The show itself was incredible. I won't give any spoilers, but I laughed until I hurt, then kept on laughing. Even my mother was crying with laughter. There was such a great atmosphere, and the performances were so much better than I could have imagined.
As promised on Tumblr, I have posted pictures and links of what I wore, but I'll put those under the cut for those who are not that interested.
I thoroughly recommend Welcome to Night Vale. It is a twice-monthly podcast, with amazing characters and storylines. Be sure to listen to at least the first three episodes before deciding whether or not you like it; it is worth it.
See you next Tuesday!
