What makes a piece of writing worthy?
I'm very aware that most of Rose on Fire is completely unedited and rather awful, but I still think they are worthy of being shared because they show my progress. I was awful at writing, now I am not quite as awful.
I'm always curious about what makes art worthy. Is it financial input/gain? The amount of time put into the art? Opinions other people have regarding the art?
In all honesty I have no answers to that, and I think that is why I keep creating. I want to create something worthy, something beautiful, something that I am proud of and makes me happy to know that I made it. Even when I have made that thing, whatever it might be, I will not want to stop; I'll want to create something else just as good, if not better.
I have fallen into the artist's trap, and I have no plans to make my escape.
See you next Tuesday!
