Hello. I'm Ellana. I'm really hoping you worked that part out already.
I'm 23, living in London, UK, and currently studying for a BA Hons with the Open University; technically I'm doing an open degree, but I'm focusing on Classical Studies, Archaeology, and Creative Writing.
I have been writing for longer than I can remember. In September I published my first ever poetry collection Rose on Fire and I am still blown away by the reactions. I'm still really sorry that I made a friend cry with Cherry.
As well as writing, I love to craft. I can do crochet, embroidery, knooking, cross stitch, needlepoint, and other counted needlework things. I have a few things that I have made that will go in the dolls house that I will get round to buying/making at some point in my life. I love making things and looking at something I have made, knowing that my time and effort went into it.
I love to read and watch Netflix. I have way too many books to read, and I still want more; my favourite eras of literature are the 15th-19th centuries, and things written/composed before the English language even existed. I find that there is a beauty in the language that is missing from a lot of modern literature. That said, I love Laurell K Hamilton, Sue Grafton, and I'm really enjoying Game of Thrones despite [or maybe because of?] all the deaths. When it comes to watching movies, I love the 1920s-1960s, especially Dragonwyck, Orphans of the Storm, Singin' in the Rain, and Bell Bottomed George. I do also love modern things too - Sherlock, Doctor Who, Torchwood, and Bomb Girls are definitely my favourite series.
I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome Type 3, which causes a bunch of issues. I also have a slight obsession with green tea. I do love green tea.
If there is anything you want to know about me, let me know. You can find me in all the usual places - Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and I'm hoping to start making use of YouTube a little more but shhh - and you can find all the links at the top right corner, except for Tumblr which apparently isn't important enough.
See you next week!
