I have joined the WI. If you don't know what the Women's Institute is, please search for it. I am 23, and can't cook/bake for the life of me, but the WI is not about being a bored housewife who wants time away from the husband. I had so much fun at the meeting, I became a full member. I loved it! I made some origami... things. We improvised a bit when the instructions were impossible to decipher... I had a great time, and I can't wait to go again.
I have realised that I do post about leaving the house. That is because I leave the house so rarely, it deserves a blog post.
I returned to crochet as well, and I've been making quite a few things. I finished a blanket completely, which is a huge thing for me; I rarely finish large crochet projects. I'm also working on sewing up the pieces for another blanket. I'm currently working on a cardigan and a jumper, just because I can.
Camp NaNo returns next month, and I will be taking part as a rebel. I won't be starting something new, but instead finishing Senate of Blood to make all of you happy. I have quite a lot of written, including the shock ending, but I will still be publishing one chapter a week until it is finished. I will not be posting a chapter early, just because I have finished it. This means I have more time to work on Lily which is rather exciting for me. I will also be returning to Rose In Ice as soon as I can. It is actually quite difficult to come up with a new story idea each week, and get it to a decent enough state to publish it.
I have been drowning in university work again as of late. I deferred the archaeology course until the autumn, because things were getting too much. This was absolutely the right choice for me; I have been able to relax and not just go from one assignment to the next without even pausing for breath. I have been working on my dissertation, which I have pretty much finished about ten weeks too early, so I'll be editing that a lot.
I'm in the process of gathering ideas together to redecorate my bedroom. I'm crafting quite a few things for it, so I can have little touches of what it will look like quite early in the process. I'm really looking forward to it. I will get a huge amount of help, and I do plan on making this last months. I don't want to do everything at once and then have to stay in bed for a few weeks because I've overworked myself. A little spread over a long time will get things finished, just the same as a lot in a short time.
I have started a Wreck This Journal which has been heartbreaking. I kid you not, I had to psyche myself up to put a tiny little dot on a page. Once I started, it got a little easier, but the spine is still in tact. I can't crack the spine, it hurts the book. Pictures are up on my Tumblr (link in next paragraph) if you want to see.
If you are interested in seeing what I have been making, do let me know on Facebook, Twitter, or Tumblr, and I will be happy to share pictures; I'm hesitant at the moment because I don't know if you would actually be interested in seeing it all. Just let me know, we can work it out from there.
See you next week!
