I'm not sure I can keep up the pretence. I need to share it with you all.
It has nothing to do with shame - I'm not ashamed of this secret - but I do worry that some of you will judge me for it. It has also taken me a while to admit this to myself.
Be brave, Ellana, be brave...
There. I've said it. I am a fangirl. I quote from Doctor Who, Sherlock, and Torchwood without even noticing I'm doing it. I have a slight obsession with 19th century Russian literature. I really am a fangirl.
I had a few days offline (did you miss me?) to watch all nine episodes of Sherlock and all of the extras on the DVDs, and the audio commentaries got me thinking. How amazing would it be to have a commentary on more things? I love hearing about the behind the scenes stuff, the process, and the mistakes.
LeanPub has introduced an amazing new feature that means you can get extras with ebooks. I'm thinking of doing this for Rose on Fire to add to the notes I posted on Facebook and to go more in depth into my writing process. For Rose in Ice it would be interesting for me to keep a record of what I was thinking when I wrote something, as I tend to lose that after a few days. It also means that if anyone wants to analyse my work at any point, I can save them a lot of time.
Back to Sherlock... No spoilers, I promise.
I loved this series, just as much as I loved the previous two. I love the relationships between John and Sherlock, Sherlock and Mycroft, John and Mycroft, and Sherlock and Molly. I can't wait to watch the next series in two years time (yes, that was sarcasm; I really want it to be sooner than that).
I'm going to take this moment to apologise to anyone who follows me on Tumblr and has to tolerate so many posts about Sherlock. There have been... a lot. Sorry. There will probably be more. Oh who am I kidding? There will be more.
See you next Tuesday!
