I do have some aims for this year, so why not use T5W to share those?
1. Reading Tracking
I'm already tracking the books I read and I continue to do so from now on. I have my Goodreads challenge set to 150 books, but I'm aware I'm probably not going to make that number. I'll try, but it isn't the end of all things if I don't.
2. NetGalley
I want to read at least one NetGalley book every month. This month I'll probably slip on because I'm doing the #LitsyAtoZ challenge and I want to finish it before the month is out. I do want to read new releases, and NetGalley is for me a great way to do that.
3. Loeb Classical Library
Like NetGalley, I want to read one LCL book a month. I've had a digital subscription for ages and I've not made enough use of it to justify paying for it. Naturally, instead of pulling out, I'm going to use it. It does mean reading it exclusively on my laptop, which isn't great, but I can do it. I can. There are so many LCL books. Even at one a month it will take over two decades to finish the collection, and they add more all the time. I can do it though.
4. My Masters Degree
This is the big one and I'll be devoting a lot of time towards it. It is also part of the reason I want to read more classical literature, including the LCL books, but generally speaking this is what I'll be doing in the latter half of the year hopefully. I have yet to apply, and I'm unsure of whether I'll be accepted or not. I'll give it a try though.
5. Relax
My health is getting worse, and I need to set aside time each day to just do nothing, think nothing, and just relax. I'm going to be using Hyper RPG to help with that, as well as reading for pleasure, watching Netflix... the usual. I do need to focus on my health, and I think relaxing at the end of each day will help a little. I started doing it in December but a flare up got in the way of my progress.
That's it for my aims, what are yours? Feel free to read my other Top Five Wednesday posts or anything else I've posted.
