Lush
I've been using Lust again, with a little hint of Rose Jam with it. I love the combination of the sickly sweet and the kick-ass depth of scent. It is a scent that makes me happy, and is actually the first Lush product I ever bought. I've also been using the massage bar Yes Yes Yes, which has the same Lust scent.
Books
I've been reading Sue Grafton's Alphabet Series, and tracking the diversity. I first read the series when I was in my early teens, but I am fast losing my nostalgia for it; the constant misogyny is tiring. Instead, my favourite when it comes to books is Serial Reader. The app basically splits classic works into issues that you can read each day. I've been reading both Ann Radcliffe's The Mysteries of Udolpho and Victor Hugo's Les Miserables. I'm making slow but steady progress on both, and I enjoy waiting each day for the notification to say the next issue is ready.
Protests
The worldwide beacon of hope that went by the name Women's March.
Tea
As many of you probably already know, I love tea. This month I've been drinking pomegranate and raspberry tea, and I just love it. Because of my EDS3 I'm sensitive to temperature, so I have to wait for the tea to cool down before I can drink it. This gives me the chance to just watch the tea, and the swirls of flavour reach out into the hot water. The scent as this happens is wonderful.
Well, that's it for January. I highly doubt the next four years will be any easier, but we can live in hope.
Long live the resistance.
