I'm not linked to World of Wool in any way, I just really got into spinning this year, and I want to share my love of the advent calendar.
Day Three: Cherry; 100% Shetland wool
For anyone who knows me, you know how much I love red. Cherry is a beautiful rich red with soft pink tones, and I am obsessed with it. Shetland wool is gorgeous. It is soft, cosy, fine, and has such an interesting depth of colour when dyed. Shetland sheep originated in Scotland, but the breed is not just confined to Scotland. It is often used in tweed and colourwork knitting, but right now I've no idea what I'm going to do with this. It is so beautiful, I think I might just look at it a while.
What do you think I should make out of it?
