Food
This might be an odd place to start, but oh well. Chicken katsu curry with rice has become my new favourite comfort food. I just love it. That's all.
Special Makeup
I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with the idea of colour correcting. The idea of neutralising your flaws... I'm not a fan of that. You do not have "flaws" if you have eye bags or redness - you are a human being. That said, when I want to do full makeup, I'd rather not have a soft blue peeking through my concealor under my eyes. Nyx colour correcting palette is great for those times when my acne is bad, or my eye bags decide to be even more obvious. I also use the lilac one under my highlighter, as I've found it keeps it in place longer.
App
Litsy is wonderful. Often described as the child of Goodreads and Instagram, it is a place where you can post what you are reading, get recommendations, join challenges, and find friends. I love it. It is still in its infancy, but it is ad free and that is a huge bonus for me. Sadly it is only available on a phone, rather than on a PC as well, but I love it. Feel free to add me if you join; I'm @EllanaRose.
Books
I've binged this series. The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo is a fantasy series that has had me gripped from the first chapter. I'll be doing a Fangirl Friday post about it, so I won't go into too much detail here. It is a fantastic series, and I thoroughly recommend it.
YouTube
I'm splitting this into two parts.
First is Many a True Nerd. I'm a huge fan of Fallout New Vegas (mostly because I can't get Fallout 4 to work on my laptop) but Jon shows a variety of ways of playing it. From his YOLO playthrough where he attempts to play the whole game without healing, to his No Kill/Kill Everything runs, he shows the little things that I've missed when playing it. His current FONV series adds a survival mode to the game.
Second is the Planet Coaster series by NerdCubed. As a fan of the Rollercoaster Tycoon franchise (before the mobile game and the latest piece of oh-god-why that they have released), i knew I'd love Planet Coaster. Dan is in the process of making a theme park, but it is a very peaceful series to watch. I'm really enjoying it.
Netflix
How to Get Away with Murder is a brilliant example of how diversity does not need to be the main plot. The show follows lawyer Annalise, and her group of students/interns as they solve cases. This alone would make it great, but when the students are involved in a murder, things go from great to awesome. I love the show, and the second season was even better than the first.
Twitch
I recently rediscovered HyperRPG also called Hyper Rabbit Powered Go. A channel mostly focused on Role Playing Games (RPGs), it has a welcoming and friendly community surrounding it. My favourite show is probably Honesty Hour, and even though I've never read a comic/graphic novel, I really love Graphic Content.
That's what I enjoyed in November (oh and Vicks Vapo-Rub which has kept me breathing despite having this endless cold) so tell me what you liked. Here's hoping December is a little less poop.
