#24in48 is a readathon where in the space of 48 hours you read for 24 of them, hence the name of the readathon. This is supposedly a lot of fun. I'm not entirely convinced either, but I'm doing it, and I am looking forward to it.
This is my plan...
According to my Kobo I can read one of the Sue Grafton Kinsey Millhone books in three hours. I'm already reading this series for #LitsyAtoZ so I thought I'd continue with it. In 24 hours that adds up to eight books, assuming I can keep with my average pace. The series as a whole averages out to 320 pages per book, using the Goodreads statistics, so over eight books that is roughly 2,560 pages.
Almost three thousand pages over a weekend is around the same as three books in the A Song of Ice and Fire series. Although I have read some of the George RR Martin series, I'd rather read something I want to read during this readathon, instead of books that struggle to maintain my attention.
I will be posting my updates as normal on Goodreads and Litsy (@EllanaRose), and since Goodreads automatically shares my updates on Twitter, there are plenty of places you can follow my chaos.
In the unlikely event I finish the Sue Grafton series, I'm not sure what to do. I might start on the Penguin Little Black Classics series; I bought the original 80 when they were first available, but I've yet to read them. I'm also tempted to make some progress on my Delphi Classics range, and just pull an author out of my jar. I do still have the Oscar Wilde and Arthur Conan Doyle books started, so I may go with those or a random author. I'll see on the day.
If you are taking part in #24in48 do let me know! This is my first time so I could do with all the help I can get.
