Hi.
My name is Ellana. I have many interests and passions, and I want to explore them more.
Books
I love reading. Literature has been such a huge part of my life since before I was old enough to hold a book on my own. I've slipped, and I haven't been reading as much as I'd like to, so I'd like that to change. I'm hoping to do a weekly (or monthly) round up of all the books I've read, want to read, bought... You get the idea. I post very short reviews on Goodreads as I read, but these are very much a first impression, my initial gut reaction to the book. I want to start doing full reviews of books - what I think of the plots, characters, all that jazz - because my initial reaction to a book is not always enough. Some books just last and stay with you, and I want to explore that more.
Movies, TV shows, etc.
I watch way too much Netflix and YouTube, spend far too many hours on Twitch, and have way too many podcasts that I listen to. I want to talk about those more, and share what I love. Not only do I want to fangirl, but I want to hear what you think, and maybe get recommendations from you. Like with reading, I want to do in depth reviews (but mostly fangirl).
Crafts
This is vague, and I will keep it vague on purpose for a while. Something will be happening soon, so I'd rather talk about that nearer the time.
Opinions
I'm human. I have opinions. I think about things, and sometimes I need to share what is in my head so I can understand it better. Like my previous posts, they are likely to be disjointed, just a general "I have something to say, and this is my platform for that" post. There will however be events that leave me without words, and I will not be able to say anything about them; I'm not a journalist, I'm not reporting the news, I'm just giving my opinions on a few things.
Life
Wow that sounded vague. I'm disabled, and that impacts my life, obviously. I want to share more about Ehlers Danlos Syndrome Type 3, depression, anxiety... I can only share my own experiences, but I have found that by talking about things like this, it can raise awareness and help spread the word to those with the same conditions that you are most definitely not alone. On top of that, I want to share tips on how I do tasks that are difficult for me, but might be a simple everyday thing for others... and I'd love to hear what others do as well. I'm also hoping (everything crossed!) to do a Masters degree, so I'll be posting about how that goes too.
My name is Ellana. I'm 25, and in London, UK. I have EDS3, depression, anxiety, a university degree, and free time. I have neglected this blog for too long, so here I am again.
See you next week,
E
